Free Portraits at The Picture People!

FREE portaits?!? Awesome! We took our daughter for her first pro pics at around 3 months. She is almost 7 months now. We probably wouldn't have done pics again until she's a year but I can't NOT take advantage of this! I have a super girly outfit picked out because she never looks very girly. Yay!

Mocha Mondays at McDonalds

McDonalds Free Coffee Monday will be held from now until August 3 at participating McDonalds locations from 7am to 7pm. Customers will receive a free 7 oz Iced Mocha or an 8 oz hot McCafe Mocha.

I got my Iced Mocha this morning! It's worth the trip just to get the adorable little cup it comes in!

Amazon.com for Books

The other night, my husband and I were in Barnes & Noble looking at books for our 6 month old daughter Elizabeth. There were 3 I really wanted but I could bring myself to spend full retail price for them. The next day I went onto amazon.com and found those 3 plus another that I wanted and purchased them. I got them from private sellers and while you can purchase new or used books, I opted for new ones for Lizzy. She likes to eat anything she comes in contact with these days! I got them all for about half price and the total cost for the 4 books with shipping was still less than paying full price for the original 3 I found.

Freecycle

My favorite site of late is my county's Freecycle website. It's actually a Yahoo! Group. I found out about it on freecycle.org

This is a great site to quickly purge items you no longer want or need and more importantly, a great way to get things YOU want or need. I recently acquired an Evenflo exersaucer for my daughter. She comes to work with me sometimes and it's hard to keep her occupied. She's only 6 months old. I posted on my county's Freecycle page that I was looking for an exersaucer. Within a couple hours a woman from a town nearby told me she had one that I could have. I got it that night and it was in great shape. My daughter LOVES it! What a deal!

I decided to start this blog at the urging of my co-workers. They are always impressed by the deals and freebies I always seem to find. I hope I can share my experiences and pointers with a greater audience so they too can benefit. Enjoy!
